... for book orders
Books you have ordered through interlibrary loan are generally lent to you for four weeks, with the possibility of an extension by additional four weeks, until recalled. The loan periods for interlibrary loan books comply with the lending conditions of the respective holding library. If this assigns a different, shorter loan period, it is passed on to you accordingly.
Please ensure the timely return or loan period extension of your borrowed interlibrary loan books – otherwise you risk a media reclaim procedure with charges. From 13 July onwards, we will return to reclaim overdue interlibrary loans for a fee.
Your interlibrary loan orders are - as with books ordered and borrowed from the TUM collection - recorded and displayed in our library IT system. Thus, via your library account, you have a continuous overview of the status of those books that you ordered and borrowed by interlibrary loan.
