New Read & Publish Agreements

Free Reading and Publishing with Renowned Journal Publishers

At the start of 2022, the University Library of the Technical University of Munich has concluded so-called Read & Publish Agreements with further renowned publishers.

"Read & Publish" in general means that in addition to free reading access, authors can publish free of charge in the Open Access or hybrid journals of the respective provider.

Our "Read & Publish" range has been extended with the following publishers:

Cambridge University Press
With a few exceptions, TUM members can publish free of charge in both the Open Access journals and hybrid formats of the publisher.

Institute of Physics (IOP)
In addition to publishing in the hybrid journals of IOP free of charge, it is now also possible to do so in its Open Access journals.

Company of Biologists
TUM authors can publish an unlimited number of articles free of charge in Open Access journals as well as in hybrid formats of the publisher.

Microbiology Society
TUM members can publish articles in all six Open Access journals of the Society free of charge.

What do you need to do when publishing?

A prerequisite for these publication opportunities is the consistent indication of the TUM affiliation throughout the entire publication process: Authors find information on the correct affiliation designation in the TUM Publication Guidelines(link is external). Corresponding authors will be identified by their email address, so please use your @tum.de email.

If you have individual questions about your publication, please do not hesitate to contact our Open Access Team.
