The University Library of the Technical University of Munich participates in a national "Read and Publish" consortium with Cambridge University Press (CUP). Therefore, corresponding authors of TUM are entitled to publish their articles as Open Access in almost all Hybrid or Gold Open Access journals of Cambridge University Press.
The agreement includes the following key points:
- Reading access
Anyone authorized to use TUM's electronic media is entitled to access current journals of Cambridge University Press.
- Unlimited Open Access
Any article published in CUP journals from 2022 onwards will be published Open Access by default when the corresponding author is affiliated with TUM. There are no costs involved for you personally – unless you agree with the publisher on certain additional services, for which Cambridge University Press will invoice you directly.

In order to ensure that all publications can be clearly assigned to the Technical University of Munich, it is important that all TUM authors use the binding, standardised university affiliation. Please observe the requirements of the TUM Publication Guidelines for all your publication projects.
