The Read and Publish Agreement of the Company of Biologists allows researchers from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to publish an unlimited number of Open Access articles and provides unrestricted access to the Company’s journal portfolio.
The agreement includes the following key points:
- Reading Access
Anyone authorised to use the TUM's electronic media can access the entire journal archive of the Company of Biologists back to 1852.
- Unlimited Open Access
Any article published in Company of Biologists journals from 2022 onwards will be published Open Access by default when the corresponding author is affiliated with TUM.
Indicate your affiliation with TUM
In order to ensure that all publications can be clearly assigned to the Technical University of Munich, it is important that all TUM authors use the binding, standardised university affiliation. Please observe the requirements of the TUM Publication Guidelines for all your publication projects. Corresponding authors will be identified by their email address, so please use your @tum.de mail.
Further information
As the Publish and Read Agreement does not include a cap on the number of publications by TUM authors, you do not need to complete the Open Access funding request form or submit an invoice to the TUM Open Access Publication Fund when publishing.
