How to get access to carrels quickly and easily

Study areas at the Branch Library Main Campus with carrels in the background

Starting from 1 September 2017, the access period for our popular carrels at the branch libraries Main Campus, Physics and Life Sciences will be two weeks. This change is a result of a survey among our library visitors.

Also, we are making it easier to get access to a carrel. Just make a reservation via the web form or ask our staff at the library where you want to book a carrel. You will get an email when your carrel is ready for you. You may pick up and return your key during library opening hours (there is no need to make an appointment).

Carrels can only be reserved by TUM students and staff members. The key will be registered on your library account. A deposit is not required.
