Our webinar carrels in the Branch Librar Mathematics & Informatics offer exactly that: Soundproofed, private, and reservable – the perfect solution for anyone who doesn’t have a quiet space at home or simply prefers working at the library.

Online Reservation

TUM students can easily reserve webinar carrels online:

Log in to the reservation system with your TUM ID
Select a time slot and submit your booking
Receive your booking confirmation via email

Reserve a Webinar Carrel

Check-in

Please check in on-site for every online reservation:

Scan the QR code from your booking confirmation at the check-in station.
A separate check-in is required for each time slot, even if bookings are back-to-back.
Check in within 30 minutes of the reservation start time (for study carrels: within 48 hours).
Without check-in, your reservation will be automatically cancelled.

Who can reserve webinar carrels?

Only TUM students
Reservations are non-transferable and must not be made for others

How to reserve

online via the reservation system
Login with your TUM ID
Book up to 7 days in advance – same-day bookings are possible

Reservation limits

Maximum of 4 hours per reservation
Up to 2 reservations per week and branch library

When does my reservation expire?

After 30 minutes, if you don’t show up or fail to check in
If absent for more than 60 minutes or don't using a break disc
Expired reservations are not refunded to your booking quota

Things to keep in mind

Drinks in tightly closed containers are okay
No food or alcohol allowed

The University Library offers twelve webinar carrels in the Branch Library Mathematics & Informatics. They are available for TUM students and especially suitable for:

Actively participating in webinars – speaking allowed!
Online lectures
Presentations via video conference
Job or internship interviews

Equipment & Setup

Soundproofed for focused and non-disturbing use
Power outlets and internet connection
Two desks and swivel chairs – suitable for up to two people
