Roof Refurbishment
Until the end of October 2014, the flat roof above the reading room at the Branch Library Main Campus is being refurbished. The State Construction Authority and the TUM's Property Management have informed that all users of the building have to cope occasionally with noise and dirt during the constructional measurement.
The library's mobile shelving sections on the second floor which were temporarily closed off due to water damages are once again accessible.
The roof refurbishment is not linked to our own construction works at the Branch Library Main Campus. Please understand that we do not have any influence on the planning and the progress of the roof works. However, we provide ear plugs for all noise-plagued library visitors.
Reading Room Refurbishment
At the same time, the construction works at our Branch Library Main Campus are also progressing. This will lead to occasional disturbances through noise in the upcoming weeks. Our main objectives are:
- to create 100 additional reading places
- to improve the air-conditioning
- to provide more electric sockets
- to reduce source of noise during day-to-day library operations
