Closure of Open Access Publishing Fund
At the end of 2023, TUM closed its Open Access Publishing Fund. Submitting new funding applications is no longer possible. Articles for which you have already received funding approval from the Publishing Fund in 2023 remain unaffected. You can still submit corresponding invoices even after the closure of the Open Access Publishing Fund. Contact: Team Open Access
New Open Access Publishing Opportunities for TUM Members
In order to support the visibility of research in the best possible way, TUM is significantly expanding its infrastructure in the area of information provision and publication services. The TUM Board of Management, the University Library, and the TUM Schools have joined to create the financial basis for entering into comprehensive Publish & Read agreements with academic publishers. As a result, TUM members have new opportunities to publish their research findings at no personal cost.
Additionally, through TUM.University Press, we offer a TUM-specific alternative for publishing monographs, edited volumes, as well as launching Open Access journals, independently of commercial publishers.
