As of Wednesday, 16 December 2020, new measures to contain the Corona pandemic will be in effect in our branch libraries, based on the resolutions of the Bavarian State Government from 14 December 2020.
This means:
- Study Desks
Our reading rooms will be closed from 16 December 2020 until further notice. Study desks are no longer be available. Existing reservations will be cancelled.
- Opening hours for borrowing and returning media
Until 18 December 2020, four of our branch libraries will remain open for borrowing and returning media until further notice. These include the branch libraries Main Campus, Mathematics & Informatics, Weihenstephan and Straubing. All other branch libraries are closed. Please check our website for detailed information on opening hours.
- E-Media
We offer TUM members more than 170,000 e-books, 72,000 e-journals and 2,300 databases. Please make use of this offer with priority.
- Interlibrary loan and document delivery
TUM members can use our scanning service dokumenTUM for journal articles and book chapters (max. 10 percent) as usual. We will also continue to offer interlibrary loan, subject to stricter Corona measures. However, due to different regulations in external libraries, delivery times may be longer.
