Beginning from April 4, 2017, we will not recall borrowed items requested by other library users anymore.
That's new:
- Your loan period will be extended for additional 4 weeks if no reservation is on the book.
- Once granted renewals will not be revoked any more.
- For books from the loan collection up to 2 renewals are possible, for books from the textbook collection up to 5 and for books from the restricted loan collection up to 9.
That remains:
- Books are renewed automatically – unless another library user has reserved the item.
- For journal volumes a loan period of 2 weeks will continue to apply – without the option for renewal.
The benefits for you are obvious: You can rely on your granted renewal periods and you need not to reckon that you have to return books at short notice if another library user has reserved it. In your OPAC library account you can check for current due dates.
