Update December 2019
The licence for Lynda.com (formerly video2brain) expired at the end of December 2019. The platform is currently not available at TUM.

Video2brain was integrated in the learning platform Lynda. The joint platform offers now around 5,700 training tutorials in English and 1,900 in German.

Initial login on Lynda

As a TUM member you can use Lynda for free. Please visit lynda.com and klick on "Sign In" at the top right:

  1. In the login window, please choose the organizational login following the "Sign in with your organizational portal" link.
  2. Next enter the TUM URL: www.tum.de or tum.de.
  3. Then you will be asked via the Web Login Service (Shibboleth) to authenticate yourself as a TUM student or staff member. Please sign in with your TUM ID and personal password.
  4. Finally, you should complete your profile. By selecting languages you determine if you would like to learn with tutorials in German and/or in English. We recommend to select both language libraries.

Login for returning users

If you have already used Video2Brain or Lynda, you will now find your account moved to lynda.com. Please sign in – as you are used – with your TUM ID via the organizational login following the "Sign in with your organizational portal" link.

Switching between language libraries

If you have selected both language options, you can switch between the two training libraries in the platform's footer. Both libraries operate separatly. That means search results, history and playlists vary for the different languages.

Mobile use

All video tutorials allow streaming on desktop PCs, smartphones and tablets. Downloads are possible via locally installed apps.

Questions?

If you have any questions or problems with the login, please send us an e-mail: support.emedien@ub.tum.de
