How can universities and research institutions handle publication-based metrics in a fair and transparent manner to assess research performance? The San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), to which TUM is a signatory, contains recommendations on this.
On behalf of the TUM Board of Management, University Library's bibliometrics team has been tasked to coordinate the implementation of DORA requirements at TUM. We provide comprehensive informational materials and personal consultation, support you in reviewing your work area for DORA compliance, and assist in developing alternative approaches.
Accurately determined and appropriately utilized bibliometric indicators can help to make research performance visible and comparable within the disciplinary field, enhance publication outreach, and strengthen the reputation of both TUM and its authors.
