Dates and workload:
The training runs throughout the winter semester 2023/24 from 16 October 2023 to 12 February 2024, on Mondays from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. The workload is approximately 60 hours.
The first and last meeting will take place in person: Campus Munich, Großer Besprechungsraum 2180 (Branch Library Main Campus). All other meetings will be held online in Zoom.
Participation requirement:
The number of participants is limited to 10. Please apply for the Data Steward Training only if you can attend the weekly course dates. The course will take place online via Zoom. Please make sure that you have a camera and a microphone (Technical requirements).
Registration / Application:
Send a letter of motivation with the subject "Data Steward Training Application" to researchdata@ub.tum.de by 31 August 2023. Please describe your motivation for participating in the Data Steward Training on approx. 1–2 pages (DIN A4): Why do you want to participate in this course? For what will you use the acquired knowledge? Also outline your existing knowledge and experience in research data management, address your IT skills, especially in Git and Python. Also let us know your expectations, topic preferences and areas of interest for the Data Steward Training.
You will informed at the latest by 15 September 2023 whether you have been accepted for the Data Steward Training.
