If for any reason you are unable to return items on time, we are obliged to suspend your borrowing rights and to charge you for media reclaim costs. The amount is determined by law ("Bayerisches Kostengesetz").
In such cases please return the items without delay upon receiving the first return request notice. Otherwise further notices will be sent out increasing the costs. In the case of short term loans, notices are mailed out in shorter intervals.

Media Reclaim Procedure for TUM Employees
If you as an TUM empolyee overlook the return library items on time, we will send you return request notices without charges. In order to avoid costs for your faculty, please return the overdue items within the following few days in one of our branch libraries.
If repeated return requests are ignored, we will initiate the replacement of the library items. The acquisition costs will then be charged to your faculty.
