Travel Grant
IATUL Travel Grant Programme
IATUL operates an annual Travel Grant Programme to assist first-time attendees at the IATUL Conference. Preference for this conference will be given to librarians from Central and Eastern Europe, but applications are encouraged from librarians at any institution that is an IATUL member or would qualify for IATUL membership (i.e., the institution has a focus or substantial programme in the sciences and/or engineering.
The IATUL Board has introduced a Travel Grant Programme to support individuals from developing countries in order to increase the number and range of countries that participate in IATUL conferences. Travel Grant budget is planned for 5,000 Euro.
The Travel Grants are not intended to cover the full cost of attending the conference. They can be used for Conference registration costs and other travel expenses. The maximum amount of the grant for one person is 1,000 Euro.
When applying for a Travel Grant, please remember that English is the official language of the organization and its annual conference.
Conference organizers are not able to offer assistance with visa applications.
How to apply for a Travel Grant
Applicants should submit a brief case (not more than 250 words), in English, explaining what benefits they expect to obtain from attending the IATUL conference. Include in the application:
- name,
- title / job position,
- name of institution,
- mailing address,
- e-mail address,
- telephone number (with area and country code),
- fax number (with area and country code)
Only complete applications will be considered.
