Directions
By Public Transport:
From Munich Central Station: Take the underground (line U2) to Königsplatz and leave the station in the direction of the train. Cross the square in the eastern direction and turn left into Arcisstrasse. Continue north and cross the intersection at Gabelsbergerstrasse. The TUM Main Entrance is located after 50 m on the left-hand side across from the Gallery Alte Pinakothek. The entrance to the Branch Library is situated on the 1st floor. For further information on public transport in Munich please consult the MVV (Munich Transport and Tariff Association) Website.
By Car:
Traveling south on the A9 autobahn: At the end of the highway (Munich Schwabing) take the exit marked Mittlerer Ring West. Stay in the right lane and do not drive into the tunnel. At the next traffic lights turn left into Leopoldstrasse. After the triumphal arc (Siegestor) make a right at the third set of traffic lights and continue west on Theresienstrasse. On the fourth traffic lights turn left into Arcisstrasse. The TUM Main Entrance is located on the right-hand side across from the Gallery Alte Pinakothek. The entrance to the Branch Library is situated on the 1st floor.
Please note: There is no park space available for guests on the TUM main campus. The surrounding streets belong to a resident parking zone. Therefore we recommend to use public transport and Munich’s park and ride system.
