Directions
By Public Transport:
From Munich Central Station: Take a S-Bahn (any urban rail line) to Marienplatz, change for underground line U6 to Garching, deboard at the terminal stop "Garching, Forschungszentrum" and leave the station against the direction of the train. The faculty building for mathematics and informatics is located on the right-hand side across the open space. The Branch Library is situated at the very end of the building on the left-hand side. For further information on public transport in Munich please consult the MVV (Munich Transport and Tariff Association) Website.
By Car:
Travel north from Munich (or south from Ingolstadt) on the A9 autobahn and take the Garching Nord exit (exit 70), continue east to Garching Research Center, after the intersection with the Freisinger Landstrasse (B11) the road will become Ludwig-Prandtl-Strasse, where you will find a parking area behind the faculty building. When you the enter the building from the back side, you will find the Branch Library on the right-hand side.
