Study Carrels at the Branch Library Sport & Health Sciences

Online Reservation

TUM students and staff members can conveniently book study carrels online:

  1. Log in to the reservation system with your TUM ID
  2. Select a time slot and submit your booking
  3. Receive a reservation confirmation by email

You will also receive a reminder email one day prior to your reservation's start time.

 

Check-in

Please check in at the branch library for every online reservation:

  • Scan the QR code from your confirmation email at the check-in station.
  • A separate check-in is required for each time slot, even for back-to-back bookings.
  • Check-in must be completed within 30 minutes (for study carrels: within 48 hours).
  • Reservations will be automatically canceled if you do not check in on time.
 

Terms & Conditions

Who can reserve study carrels?

  • TUM students and TUM staff
  • Reservations may not be transferred and made on behalf of others.

How to reserve

  • Reserve online via the reservation system.
  • Log in with your TUM ID.
  • Book up to 3 months in advance – same-day bookings are also possible.

Reservation limits

  • Booking quota: 8 weeks per year.
  • Minimum booking duration: 1 week, always starting on Monday.
  • The quota resets each year on 1 January at midnight.

When does my reservation expire?

  • After 48 hours, if you do not show up or fail to check in.
  • Expired reservations will not be refunded to your booking quota.

Additional rules

  • Doors of study carrels are not lockable.
  • Others are allowed to use the carrel when you are absent.
  • For short absences, we recommend the use of a clock disc during breaks.
  • Drinks are allowed in tightly sealed containers.
  • No food or alcohol allowed.
  • The University Library's House Rules [2] apply.

  • Desk and swivel chair
  • Power outlets and internet connection
  • Whiteboards – only in study carrels at Weihenstephan
