Travel
Grants
In
2003, the International Association of Technological
University Libraries (IATUL)will offer totally 10.000
EURO travel grants to first-time conference attendees.The
purpose of these grants is to encourage participation
by institutions that have no current IATUL representation.
IATUL
is an international organization that provides a forum
for the exchange of ideas relevant to technological
university libraries and information professionals.It
also offers library administrators and managers an opportunity
to develop a collaborative approach to solving common
problems through the use of technology.English is the
official language of the organization and its annual
conference.
Who
may apply for a Travel Grant
Travel
grants will be awarded to library and/or information
professionals whose libraries qualify for membership
in IATUL.Current IATUL membership is not required for
application.Applicants must to first-time conference
attendees from outside the United States, Canada,
Australia, Japan and EU countries
How
to apply for a Travel Grant
Applicants should submit a short statement,in English,explaining
what benefits they expect from attending the IATUL conference.Maximum
length of the application should be one page.
Include in the application:name,title,mailing address,email
address, telephone number (with area and country code),and
fax number.
Where
to send the application
Applicants may submit the application via regular mail,fax,or
email to the attention of Emre Akbayrak, IATUL 2003
Coordinator.

Deadline
Applications must be received by January 1, 2003.
Notifications will be mailed by January 31, 2003.
