Research Data Management

Research Data Services of the University Library provide advice and information on all aspects of research data management [1]. In cooperation with the Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI), we form TUM Research Data Hub.

For any questions on research data management, please contact the team of TUM Research Data Hub [2].

Library as a Learning Place

For many of you, the library is a favorite place to study and work.

We have created various options to accommodate your preferred way of working. In our branch libraries we provide numerous study areas [3] and individual study rooms [4] for concentrated work. We also offer group study rooms [5] for discussion and collaboration.

All our branch libraries offer you the necessary technical equipment for scanning [6]as well as computers & internet [7].

Moreover, in addition to the textbook collections [8], we hold special reserve collections [9] with recommended literature for specific courses.

Courses & E-Learning

Knowledge where the knowledge is – Information literacy is a key skill for school, university and research

Efficient literature searches, correct citation, and the benefits of being familiar with a reference management programme – in our practical courses and library tours we offer a modular training programme and guide you through the services of a large academic library.

Our offers include:

  • classroom courses [10] at all TUM campuses
  • webinars [11]
  • e-courses [12]
  • e-tutorials [13]
  • library tours [14]

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need more information: workshop@ub.tum.de [15]

Our Service for Lecturers:
We provide our e-courses as Moodle modules that you can import into your own Moodle courses. After completing the course, we can answer your students' questions in a separate consultation.

If you are interested, please contact us at workshop@ub.tum.de [15].
