How does authentication via Shibboleth work?

First, navigate to the entry page of the desired electronic resource, such as databases or e-books, and look for institutional login options. Keep in mind that the terminology used by different providers may vary.
In some cases, you might be asked to specify your region or group. If this happens, please select "German Higher Education and Research (DFN-AAI).
Choose the Technical University of Munich as your home institution. Be aware that there may be variations in the way it's named, including Technische Universität München, TU München, or TUM.
You will then be redirected to the Web Login Service of TUM, where you will need to input your TUM ID.
After entering your TUM credentials, you will be redirected back to the original service provider, where you will be now recognized as affiliated with TUM.
