The University Library provides the students and employees of TUM with the EndNote reference management programme within the frame of a campus licence. EndNote is an internationally widely used reference management programme that offers you several features which enables you to search literature, manage reference and cite correctly in the desired style.

EndNote
Students and employees of the TUM can download EndNote for free.
- Download: EndNote X6 is available at https://eaccess.ub.tum.de/limited/EndnoteDownload.htm
Please authenticate yourself with your myTUM ID (e.g. firstname.lastname@mytum.de or firstname.lastname@tum.de). - Installation: Unpack (extract / unzip) the zip files in one (!) folder. Click on the setup file "___INSTALL_ENDNOTE_CLICK_HERE___" and follow the further instructions for installation.

- The EndNote licence is limited to a single user. You may install the software on 3 computers, however, to have the opportunity to work with EndNote on your desktop PC and on other computers (e.g. laptop).
- At the end of your studies or your employment at the TUM, you may not use EndNote via the TUM campus licence any longer. You must either uninstall the programme or purchase a single user licence.
EndNote is an internationally widely used reference management programme that offers you several features which enables you to search literature, manage reference and cite correctly in the desired style. The locally installed EndNote programme is complemented by a web version, which allows location-independent working and team work. EndNote has an English language interface and runs on both Windows and MAC OS.

EndNote Web
In addition to the local installation, the reference management programme offers a web version, which you can access from any workplace via internet. Set up your own EndNote web account.
You can further customise your own EndNote installation to meet your needs:
- Connection files allow you to search in additional catalogues and databases (e.g. Connection file to search Gateway Bayern).
- Import filters allow you to import bibliographical references from additional catalogues and databases.
- Output Styles (citation styles) that exceed the installation settings can be downloaded later.
- Updates are not installed automatically. Please note that you must first uninstall EndNote before installing a newer version.
Find full text articles (available at the TUM)
Go to the Edit menu and choose => Preferences => Find Full Text => „Authenticate with:“
Here you add https://eaccess.ub.tum.de/login.
If you now choose “Find full text” you will get to the eAccess page of the TUM where you log in with your TUM email address and your password. Click on “Log in” and on “Continue”.
Please note that you might not find all full texts that are available and that the search will take noticeably longer.
Instructions for the full-text search on MAC OS
To use the full-text search function, after the installation, add the following OpenURL path in the menu Edit > Preferences under the heading "Find Full Text": http://sfx.bib-bvb.de/sfx_tum.
