In the Nautos database [1], you can search for DIN standards and view all currently valid and withdrawn DIN standards in full text.
Legal Information
DIN standards are protected by copyright (see also: DIN Media's Information on the reproduction of DIN Standards) [2]. Their use and reproduction is subject to contractual agreements between the TUM University Library and DIN Media [3].
Terms of Use for TUM Students and Staff
- Reproduction (by downloading, copying, scanning or printing) is permitted only for internal university, non-commercial purposes (science, research and teaching).
- The reproduction of DIN standards for training purposes at the TUM is permitted, but copies must be marked with the TUM stamp and collected after the lecture.
- It is permitted to make DIN standards available in digital course reserves [4] if you mark them with a TUM stamp. To do so, please print them, mark them with the TUM stamp and scan them again for uploading on Moodle.
- Any unauthorised reproduction, disclosure to third parties, or systematic downloading carries a mandatory fine for infringement and is punishable by law.
Terms of Use for External Library Patrons
- External library patrons (non-TUM members) are only allowed to view and consult DIN standards. Full text access is available on library computers at all branch libraries.
- Reproductions – regardless of the method used (e.g. copying, printing, filming, transcribing, scanning, data transfer, etc.) – are not permitted due to licensing. It carries a mandatory fine for infringement and is punishable by law.
