The TUM University Library stocks about 1.7 million books and journals. For access to our collections, we will gladly issue you with a library card in one of our branch libraries.

Borrowing

• Borrow items at your nearest TUM branch library on site
  Items available for loan can be borrowed from the shelves at the respective branch library.
• Ordering from other branch libraries
  You can also order items from other TUM branch libraries, as well as picking up and returning them there. Please allow a delivery time of up to 3 working days.

Document Delivery

• Order books and articles that are not locally available
  Literature not in stock at the TUM or other local library, we can obtain for you via the interlibrary loan service. If the item is urgently required, we also offer a fee-based document delivery service called subito.
• Scanning articles
  For TUM students and staff TUM, we also provide an in-house document delivery service, dokumentum, via which you can order articles scanned from journals stocked at TUM directly to your PC.
